I’ve had some issues recently on 4k 4:4:4 installs where the certified 2.0 cables from CI Brands struggle when near the edge of their performance (I’m in the uk so not sure we have the same brands so won’t mention names as not relevant)

To get around this I was thinking of using 2.1 hdmi cables (even though I don’t need more than 18gbps) but they are significantly more expensive from CI brands

Recently from a trade AV and networking supplier who specialises in commercial av fit outs, supermarkets etc , I’ve found some really reasonably priced certified hdmi 2.1 cables (c. $5 for a 1m)

I can’t make my mind up if this is a) too good to be true OR b) a certified 2.1 hdmi is just what it says and as long as the stress protection looks good go for it.

I know I wouldn’t be concerned about using a non brand cat6 patch lead.

What are your thoughts

Have you tried them where the others balked?  Don’t know how else to see if they are “better”.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
