George's Basic Working File

For: Pronto TSU9600
Note on the Olive Opus, the commands were learned but it is not a solid operating level yet, for some unknown reason. The EAD includes all the setup pages and functionality from the original marantz remote.

Less is More!
From: Julian Smith
For: Pronto TSU9600
The design of this system is around users who are not familure with the cinema system set-up and users good interface design and walkthroughs to ensure a new user can use the system without prior training. This files also deals with the fact that Toshiba TV's do not have any descrete codes AV input select, etc: There are useful help screens links on pages where it is required in the event the system does not do as required due to the lack of the descrete codes.

There is the added bonus of how to get TiVo to work if it is recording, which as TiVo users in the UK will know it only comes with one built in Tuner and if your TV does not have Freeview built in this system shows you how it can be configured with additional freeview box and TV and work seemlessly, again with the restraint of the Toshiba TV. The main thing is that this is designed for a less is more approach with nearly all techy stuff hidden away, so if you are after a design which is for a techy to administer there system this is not for you. If you are after a system which your wife, girlfriend, family or friends staying over can use without the need for long explainations or written instructions.

My Media Room
From: Kenny West
For: Pronto TSU9600
Design created using elements of others with some of my own as well. My goal was as simple and error free operation as possible. A key element was having so there was no guesswork for others to use, i.e. must meet WAF! I hid the configuration panels for the lighting and Sony VPL-VW50 projector (easily accessible via the initial home page) so others would not know it was there.

Some elements I like about it are:

  • Clean look and operation.
  • Each device page (i.e. DirecTV, HD-DVD, BluRay, XBox, etc.) have the logo of the device as the background.
  • All devices are automated fully, whether turning on or off.
  • A ton of discrete codes for pretty much everything.
Enjoy and if any questions let me know!

Aura Contest Entry Update
From: Noel Blackman
For: Pronto TSU9600
An update to my Pronto Professional contest entry with changes made to the buttons transparency so they work correctly. The buttons worked perfect in the emulator, but not on the actual remote as 100% transparent areas are ignored. This caused 90%+ of the buttons in Aura to not respond. All have been fixed and tested to work perfectly. If you have any questions, please let me know.File: noel-blackman_xcf1.zip

XPronto SCUBA Edition
From: Scott Grimes
For: Pronto TSU9600
v1.3 Updates include: tabs/blades are now active, added custom sounds to suite my scuba theme. Plus many other enhancements. The following file is based on my SCUBA themed configuration that I use for my Marantz RC9500. However, all of the graphics have been completely redone to accommodate the Pronto TSU9600 graphics capabilities (when importing the pcf file into the Pronto Professional program all the graphics became very tiny). Because the remote uses a widescreen display, I decided to base the page navigation within each device on the XBOX 360 dashboard. You navigate the tabs (or also known as ‘blades’ for those familiar with the XBOX 360) by using the page up and down buttons located to the left of the screen or by tapping on the tabs themselves.

I am an avid SCUBA diver and so the background pictures are themed after this. However, with not too much difficulty, the pictures can be changed to whatever you wish with the accompanying Photoshop templates. As with my Marantz RC9500 and Pronto TSU7000 Scuba design, I have included all the original Adobe Photoshop templates for all buttons, text frames and dialog boxes so that you can easily create new ones based on this design. Please see the readme file for further information.

Workout for Over Forties
From: Aguzzi Adriano
For: Pronto TSU9400
I use this system in my workout room, while on the treadmill or on the elliptical crosstrainer. In addition, being in my early fifties, I need reading glasses for any font smaller than 14. Therefore, the buttons are designed to be large and color-coded. This way they can be immediately found even when you are beating the hell out of yourself (in terms of cardio fitness), and even if you are far-sighted (in terms of focal length of your anterior eye chamber).

Andreas Schnitzler's TSU9400
From: Andreas Schnitzler
For: Pronto TSU9400
Not perfect at all, but very simple and functional to use. I've tried to "imitate" a typical surface of a standard remote control to one main page for every device in relatively same matter, so that handling is very similar for each device. Most of them can be changed simply by associating the right database item, the others have a hidden, relatively complete learned device page. Second, for some devices is added a very useful "ABC"-page (eg., to give recordings a title), so one must not type the numbers every time. The layout is a little bit small, so one might prefer using the stick, but fingertip works mostly with not too big fingers.

Audrey's TSU9400
From: Audrey
For: Pronto TSU9400
My TSU9400 v1 design builds on Edward Lee’s iPhone interface and combines custom buttons with stock Pronto elements and components from Daniel Tonks, etal. The design does not break new ground; however, it does achieve my goal of minimizing the number of screen changes with minimum clutter. FYI... the interface may appear dark in the simulator; design elements were darkened to compensate for the 9400’s screen brightness.

The Game Room & Basement
From: Charlie Schneider
For: Pronto TSU9400
This remote controls a wall panel of near identical Samsung HDTV's - one 52 inch, two 40 inch and one 26 inch over by the bar. Also, it can control the home theater, the gym TV and the TV in the Nanny room.

What makes this remote set up unique are the following:

  • Extensive use of Pronto Script to keep track of how the remote is being used and in controlling the routing of the AV device chosen to the View Station desired. There are two modes. Individual TV/view station mode and in Game Room mode where the three game room TV's are all on and controlled at the same time.
  • Extensive utilization of the RF system to communicate to all of the gear centrally located in the media closet (including 3 identical DVR boxes) and to control the identical Samsung TV's in the game room.
  • Utilization of the Audio Authority whole house AV distribution system
  • Utilization of the new Sony HES-V1000 Media Server including the discovery of its discrete on/off codes.
I have not finished completing the music and picture systems. However, over the years I have utilized so much from this site, I felt it was time to provide some payback! As you know, a good remote control is never done!
