Designs Stephen's Backgrounds Bitmap Collections From: Stephen Jones For: Pronto TSU9600
This is a small sample of my custom backgrounds. Most of them are very unique and interesting random images that I hope you all will enjoy. Almost all of them are perfect fits for the tsu9800 screen, only a few may require minor resizing. I take no credit for the creation of any of these files as they have all be found on the internet.

Merge this file with your own layout. It will lock up your remote with your very own access code. In this download the access code is "0419". You can program your own code just by switching the jump page order. I program the Lock out for access on Power down and also jump it with the Home button as a remote screen lock.
Designs Galaxy 96 Fun & Games From: Daniel Tonks For: Pronto TSU9600
Based on a three by three grid, the goal in Galaxy 96 is to get from a single planet surrounded by a swarm of black holes to the reverse: one black hole surrounded by a ring of planets. Each time you click on a planet it, along with the adjacent spaces on the top, bottom, left and right swap their states. Planets change into black holes, and black holes into planets. If you destroy all of your planets you lose, so choose carefully!
This XCF encompasses over 3,300 buttons, 2,800 panels, 500 pages and 8 devices. Please read the README.TXT file for crucial information on how to correctly install this game (otherwise it won't work).

This is a two-way device XCF for a McIntosh MHT-100 Receiver whose RS-232 port is connected to a Lantronix TCP/IP device server. The ProntoScript code is generically structured as a lookup table driven state machine to make porting to another receiver or another two-way device fairly simple.
This code solves the problem of Activity level memory structures being destroyed when Activity switches occur, and permits one time assignment of firm key ProntoScript functions like volume and mute at the System level that can remain operational in all Activities. Besides heavily commented code, design philosophy documentation in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat format are also included.
This module simulates presses (and hold/release events) on the buttons of a KP15 keypad in the Lutron HomeWorks Illuminations system. It communicates with the processor over IP. There's no feedback yet.

ProntoScripts ProntoTimer 94 Features From: Schmuzli For: Pronto TSU9400
The new ProntoTimer comes next to two setup (properties) pages with two user pages. On the first page you will find 6 identical AlarmTimers. These can be underlied with activities such as e.g. light or music on/off (with captions) in the setup pages. On the user pages you can (directly within the TSU) then can set and activate the timer with time and weekday.
On the second page there are 4 special timers at your disposal.
SleepTimer
The SleepTimer can be activated manually or with 3 predefined QuickButtons and be eiter set to 15min / 30min / 45min. The desired SleepTimer time is then calcualted instantly and displayed.Hint: The QuickButtons can also be copied to other pages for example the TV page. The Sleeptimer is also suitable in order to set time limits for the TV consumption of your kids.
IntervalTimer
With the IntervalTimer the same actions is being repeated in the predefined "rhythm".
SunsetTimer
The SunsetTimer is predesposed to know the time of the sun setting. Daily the actual sunset time is being synchronised over the internet. Taking into consideration you lead time or follow-up time the execution time is being calculated accordingly.
Sunrise Timer
The Sunrise Timer comes with equal functionality in accordance to sunrise time. You could, for example, have your timer operate your sun blends 30 minutes prior to sunset and then have the sunset timer lower them when the sun is gone.

ProntoScripts Device State Tracking for Beginners Functions From: Herb Crane
This is an example of using ProntoScript to track the state of a device and then take action conditionally based upon the device state. It is good when discrete commands are not available. There is a write up that will walk the beginner through implementation.
Borrowing heavily from the sliding sections in Project Boredom, and using the new ability in ProntoScript to create Widgets dynamically on a page, I've created a ProntoScript class that enables you to easily create a panel, with buttons, once and have it appear on many pages with just one line of code added to the page scripts. This xcf project contains a couple of basic examples. This has only been tested on the TSU9400, but should work on the TSU9600 and TSU9800.
Everyone knows how difficult it is to fit all buttons orderly on your page or to build perfect navigation in order to acces all your favourite pages like games, weather and RSS in one simple sweep.
This module contains two menus that are simple to use and configure. They open up to a whole new way of navigating. Elegant fade-in buttons make the struggle for space on your user-interface a problem of the past. A graphical user interface makes your menu is easy to configure. You can choose, which buttons you want to show. Per page you have five menus you can put to use, with another maximum of 25 buttons (this corresponds to a grid of 5 buttons in 5 five columns). The caption colour, font sizes etc. chosen will be automatically applied to your buttons. The menus can be triggered either with the five existing soft buttons and/or with the Firm buttons.
The ProntoFlashMenu contains three free give-away flashes that will make your user-interface more lively and fun to work with.

ProntoScripts Scrolling TextBox Functions From: Wouter van de Weerd For: Pronto TSU9400
This is a small demo XCF to demonstrate how to make a scrolling text box in ProntoScript. One page shows how to do this in a non-Object Oriented way, for just one text box. The other page shows how this can be done with an OO-approach, demonstrating how easy it is to have 2 scrolling text boxes on the same page with the same amount of code. Beside the xcf configuration file I have included a PDF-document to explain how and what I have made. I have made and tested this demo on a TSU9400, but it will probably work also on the 9600.
ProntoScripts Weather.com Internet Content Access From: Andy Richard For: Pronto TSU9400
This XCF pulls XML data from Weather.com for display on the TSU9400. It's been written to pull both current data on one page and the 5 day forecast on a second page. You will need to go to Weather.com and sign up for an XMLOAP account to receive a partner ID and license key. Enter this information on the labels provided on the hidden PARAMETERS page along with your zip code. You will also need to configure your Pronto to connect to your local wireless network. Enjoy.
ProntoScripts Kazamm! for the 9400 Games From: Guy Palmer For: Pronto TSU9400
Kaaamm! is an asteroids clone developed by André du Fresne for the Pronto. This version is a simple port of the game for the 9400, with the graphics moved and re-sized to fit the 9400. It is being published with André's permission. To quote from André's original description:
"You are the pilot of a little spaceship, encountering deadly asteroids which shatter into smaller chunks when hit.
"To make things worse, now and then there is this nasty alien UFO, firing guided, proximity-triggered, shield-protected mines which need to be hit 3 times before they are distroyed. You can try to dodge them, but it's a lot of fun, flying backwards, firing round after round while the mine is chasing you ;-)
"The game starts pretty easy: Only 2 big asteroids - no UFOs (which are btw indestructable) but it's getting harder the better your score is.
"For the sake of game speed, the maximum number of large asteroids is limited to four, which makes - in the worst case - 16 small and fast boulders."
ProntoScripts Project Boredom! Games From: Alpha For: Pronto TSU9400
Lots of good stuff for your 9400. Everything can be added into your own projects. The games included are TIC-TAC-TOE, Hangman and Chinese Checkers. Sliding Panels were made to add movement to the graphical interface. The Sliding Panels can be customized with your own graphics and actions. Draw is a way to draw on screen with your stylus. Animations can be added as transitions between activities. This was made with Pronto Edit Professional 2 and tested with firmware version 5.0.6. Enjoy.
ProntoScripts Pronto Pong Games From: Lyndel McGee For: Pronto TSU9600
v1.0.1 This should bring back memories. This new ProntoScript game outlines several useful features of scripting. The features specifically outlined are:
Object Oriented JavaScript using Prototypes.
Retrieving/Manipulating widgets using the Configuration File (CF) widget() function.
Toggling Firm Key label based on Game Status.
Illustrates one use of the Activity.scheduleAfter() method.
Includes transparent panel tagged with name '_PS_DEBUG' to facilitate debug/display of any error messages that might occur.
This game was adapted quicly from an HTML-Javascript based game. Port to ProntoScript was quite easy. The ProntoScript for this game is divided into 3 parts.
The Pong Game object and 'pong' variable in the Activity Script.
The Pong Game initialization code in the Page Script.
The Game Toggle functionality coded in Firm1 Button Script.
I've also included a custom Activity Icon (small) such that you can incorporate a button wherever you like. Enjoy!
This version of Galaxy has exactly 4 pages and utilizes around 450 lines of JavaScript code to manage the game board. The approach I followed here was to create 2-dimensional arrays for board status (if you look @ Daniel's original pages, the names implied 2-dimensional status), a set of Button Widgets (for the Planets) and a set of Panel Widgets (for the black holes). The ProntoScript concepts exercised here are as follows:
Using a Panel named "_PS_DEBUG_" and a Debug Clear Button (See "Game" page script) to assist with debugging a script.
Example using visibility control and image assignment (Buttons have images with indices of 0 and 1) to display game board. Visibility is toggled between Buttons and Panes for a particular cell based on user selection.
Example of using a RESOURCES page to house common images that you then load into buttons/panels on the active page.
This version has all 3 backgrounds color-reduced to 64K colors. This change basically dropped the file size from 3MB down to just over 1MB with no real noticeable difference.
Last but not least, this configuration is an example of something that required 8 devices and many pages to develop prior to ProntoScript. The addition of Javascript to the 9600 platform has opened the door for more robust solutions with less complexity.
As was done in Pronto Pong, I've also provided a 63x76 button that you may use on a Home Page to access the game. Enjoy!
Prints, restores or stores single- and multidimensional arrays into/from System Globals. Print shows the data in source format (=> ProntoScript console). This function invokes the Array Dimensions Utility called getDimensions. Includes examples, explanations and a test case.
function = dumpArray (action, arrayName, dimensionalData, uptoColumns)
action = "print", "restore" or "store"
arrayName = name of the array, within quotes
dimensionalData format = [((#planes, )#rows, )#columns]
v1.1 Prints, restores or stores a set of variables into/from System Globals. Keeps the original type of the variables when they are restored. Print shows the data in source format (=> ProntoScript console). Although I have programming experience, I am a javascript beginner and hobbyist related to the pronto TSU9600. Javascript experts can improve the code for sure. I tested it in my TV channel application, in which it appears to work well.
The trace function is a logic debugging aid used with Pronto Script console, intended to offer more than System.print. It has 4 optional user definable arguments:
function = trace (location, variables, traceDecision, traceType)
trace () prints the function that called trace
trace ("here") also prints user supplied location information
trace (variables), where variables is an array of variable names prints the content of the variables. Each name between quotes.
trace ("locA", variables, 1) prints also line with variable types
trace ("locB", variables, 2) prints only a line with variable types, below the location information (caller function + location)
Although it is a quite a large function (a.o. due to the various possibilities and checking), it is easy to use.
