RTI has just announced a new line of four so-called "problem solvers" - basically, little widgets intended to solve specific issues that might crop up in a system.
First there's the ADA-1, a Dolby Digital to Analog downmixer that takes a coaxial or optical output and converts it to standard analog audio. The VDM-1x HDMI Downscaler with Downmixer is intended to multi-zone systems with both HD and 4K sources and displays, and either downscales or upscales video for compatibility, and downmixes Dolby Digital to stereo PCM. URC has just launched a new remote control model for their WiFi-based MX HomePro control platform. The MXHP-R700, which closely resembles the company's Total Control TRC-1080 or Complete Control MX-890, is being billed as a more "full featured" product with a 2" color LCD, backlit keypad, and rechargeable battery.
