The same scam is going on in Denver, they have the phony magazine with a $2500 price, and of course there's someone on EBAY out of Florida trying to sell some for $2500. The seller on EBAY has ZERO reviews.. Like previously mentioned, if it sounds too good to be true, do your research first.

Bit more expensive than this pair pair then.

Interestingly, whilst the L6 of the title is, purportedly, a re-badged(?) Eltax Logic 6, the T2450 bears no relation, so far as I can tell, to anything Eltax have ever made. I think it's also fair to add that Eltax themselves are reputable company that sells cheap 'n' cheerful solutions, and have never professed them to be anything but.

PS
Re. the fleabay pair, I've done a bit of a shipping cost calculation guesstimate. UPS Worldwide Express: approximately $250 - 300. Think I'll pass.

Here is someone else on ebay trying to sell these crappy speakers. I emailed him saying that i was VERY interested but that I wouldn't bid until I knew the reserve price. He emailed back saying that the reserve is $250 but that he could go lower if I needed him to. HAHA What a dork!

I guess I'm not as dumb as I look since when a couple of these guys approached me about 18 months ago in a Carrollton, TX parking lot, I had the sense to laugh at them as I drove away with all my $$ intact.

Suggestion: We all start carrying around a large BLACK MAGIC MARKER with us in our vehicles. When one of these sleazebuckets approaches in their (typically white or grey) vans to get us to buy this crap, we walk to the side of their vehicle and as quickly as possible write the word:

SCAM!!

in HUGE capital letters on the side of their van and then DARE them to call the police on you!! I think we all know that would not happen! (To be safe, we should probably carry both a Magic Marker and a good-sized baseball bat!)

Doing this would serve two purposes: a warning to the gullible & amusement to ourselves.

Poor guys, business must be down, having to drive around in KIAs. I think they should put some Escalade badges on it and see if they can sell it real cheap to one of the morons who bought their speakers.
I never drive faster than I can see, and besides that, its all in the reflexes.

Van sighting.... The AVALON DISTRIBUTORS van was sighted in Ardmore, PA today. A friend called and asked me if I needed anything. I told him to pass but I could hear the guys trying to sell me over the phone.

A detective friend of mine stated that this is a HUGE scam (like this thread didn't say enough) in the Philadelphia area. He also stated that it is not even a major crime since the people sell you a product (system worth about $200) but not what they advertised. Basically they are selling you a car for double the blue book value. These vans are usually rented and used for a while then returned to their original state when returned.

The things scum will do to make a buck.

PHILLY, be on the lookout.

Here is James and his life….
Ok people heres the deal. I was a "speakerman" for 5 yrs being all over the country. There aint nothin illegal about it and it sure as hell aint no scam. Its called direct sales. Nothin you buy in the store is worth what you pay for it. from manufacture-warehousing-store, the price gets jacked up along the way for each person to make his profit. If you got expendible cash and your greedy, you're gonna pay $1000 for the set. If you still got more cash, I'm gonna double-set $1500 ya. We play off of YOUR greed. YOU wanted the deal. Why did you pull over? Cause your life is miserable and you want to be part of something exciting. Its the excitement and the thrill of the kill that makes you pull over. If I notice something your wearing, in your car, on your car that I can relate to, I'm gonna become your friend....or so you think. Build a trust. I got a $200,000 house thats paid for and 3 corvettes, all paid for in cash. Thank you for being greedy and allowing me to retire and travel the world at the age of 32. To all speakermen around the country....SELL OUT

Hey the same thing happened to a friend of mine. This is what he said happened. "before they drove off, i asked for their number, and i said, im going to call this number, and i want to hear your phone ring. so i called it, and sure enough, it rang. the number is (225) 205-3546 this is a Louisiana number. 30 minutes after the deal went down, i realised i just got husseled...so i called them back, and they answered, declearing that i had the wrong number, that they were suit salesmen"

They asked me yesterday in a parking lot if I wanted to buy a home theater. "We've got an extra one." I said, "Oh, you are the guys I've heard all about on the internet." They said, "Yeah, except we are legit and give out receipts." (shows me receipt for some company). "NO thanks!" (wish I'd had one of my business cards I could have handed them).
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

The speakers , dont kick yourself, too hard. For under 2 bills I dont know if you can get the power. My Marantz 250 watts per channel already shredded 750$ Braun speakers twice, bad roomates. This just shows that stuff is made cheap and marked up 1000 %. My Mac computer costs the Apple store like 400% I paid $ 2400. The week after I bought it it was worth 800$ maybe on E Bay. We learn. The theatre Logic no doubt is a dummy maker, I just hope my Marantz 2500 likes them ,the closest thing I could find were 800$ each ,retail so where do you want to shop, parking lot? next time 75 to 100 no more !

A couple of weeks before we went into Iraq I paid 96 cents a gallon for diesel fuel in the midwest, where fuel was cheap, its $3.00 now, and you know who is also paying to make that happen. We are paying the oil co to charge us when you consider we are paying for Iraq also, gas in the tank is probably 10 /15 $ per gal. A house that's worth $179, 000, a broker now says is worth 1.2 mil a year or two later. I looked at a truck one dealer wanted $42,000 the same truck different dealer $ 32,000 sometimes when we want something we buy impulsively it is better to look listen and wait.

I just got suckered in. All I feel now is really stupid. This is definitely karma like the guy said. I've had too much good luck recently. They pulled it here in Austin, TX with a company caleld Worldwide Audio (which doesn't exist) on S. 1st. One guy was from Sacramento he said. They used the magazine trick on me, and he seemed upset when I lost the magazine at the bank. Is this even a real speaker company? The website doesn't even work.
