RTI Rocks CEDIA EXPO 2012 With More New Product Introductions Than Ever Before
Dealers are Introduced to a Record Number of New RTI Products Including the Dazzling T2x Controller, HDMI® Video Matrixes, the APEX Control Platform, and Much More
SHAKOPEE, Minn. — Sept. 5, 2012 — Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) announced that it is set to make a big impact at CEDIA EXPO 2012 by introducing a record number of new products. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, RTI will be introducing new and enhanced solutions in nearly every product category, including new control processors, hand-held and in-wall controllers, audio and video distribution solutions, the new APEX control platform, and much more.
"This is a very exciting time for RTI. Not only are we celebrating our 20th anniversary, but we have experienced record sales growth this year of more than 30 percent. Building on this momentum, we will be introducing more new products than ever before at this year's CEDIA EXPO," said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI. "Some highlights at the show will include our amazing new T2x handheld remote, beautifully designed in-wall touchpanels, enhanced audio distribution solutions, two new HDMI video matrix switchers, and our stunning new APEX control platform. With these products and many, many more, our presence at this year's show will cement our place as the world's leading control system manufacturer."
New additions to RTI's offering of distributed audio solutions will include the AD-4x and AD-8x featuring source input trim and IP control via Ethernet ports. Powerful new control processors will include the newly accelerated, lightning fast XP-8s and the revolutionary new XP-4, which offers an HDMI® video output and two inputs for supporting an OSD control interface. To complement the new processors, RTI will unveil a number of in-wall and hand-held control products, such as a countertop version of the KX7 touch panel, the RKM-1+ in-wall controller, and the game-changing T2x hand-held controller.
Representing a brand new concept in control, the T2x takes style to an unprecedented level with a thinner, sleeker, and more ergonomic design. For improved gesture support, the T2x features a flush-mount, edge-to-edge touch screen, while integrated grip sensors conveniently keep the remote turned on while it's being held. A groundbreaking, built-in accelerometer enables control by hand movements, allowing for commands such as rewind and fast-forward with the flick of a wrist. Complementing its attractive design with unparalleled functionality, the T2x boasts Wi-Fi™ support and a dual RF platform for either one-way control via 433-MHz RF or bidirectional communication with RTI processors and supported third-party electronics through 2.4-GHz ZigBee®.
CEDIA EXPO 2012 will also mark RTI's expansion into video distribution with the introduction of two new HDMI video matrix switchers. Utilizing HDBaseT™ technology, the 4x4 VHD-4 and 8x8 VHD-8 extend HDMI, IR, and RS-232 signals up to 230 feet over a single Cat 5e/6 cable. The units include both HDMI and UTP outputs for each zone, offer very fast switching times of less than one second, and support HDMI and DVI inputs. The VHD-4 is HDMI 1.3-compliant and supports resolutions to 1080p, while the VHD-8 is compliant with HDMI 1.4 and adds support for 3D.
For integrators, perhaps RTI's biggest unveiling at CEDIA EXPO will be the APEX control platform, the latest version of the company's Integration Designer® programming software. Representing the most significant Integration Designer update ever, APEX offers a number of key enhancements to provide strong support for remote programming and cloud services.
Visitors to RTI's booth No. 1925 will be among the first to see the highly anticipated software in action, along with the company's powerful new control-system lineup.
