Looking for a way to talk to your home theater instead of merely cursing at it? URC may just have the answer with the latest addition to their network-based Total Control system. The TRC-1480 handheld remote features a push-to-talk button to control Amazon Alexa and Apple TV via Siri that alleviates privacy concerns by not always listening to your conversions.
Other remote features include a 2.4" touchscreen LCD, 2-way metadata support, full slate of hard buttons, docking station and rechargeable battery, pickup sensor, power-saving quick connect WiFi, plus a modern new industrial design the company describes as " the most comfortable and intuitive remote control in its line up yet".

URC has just launched a new remote control model for their WiFi-based MX HomePro control platform. The MXHP-R700, which closely resembles the company's Total Control TRC-1080 or Complete Control MX-890, is being billed as a more "full featured" product with a 2" color LCD, backlit keypad, and rechargeable battery. At the same time, the MX HomePro platform is now capable of eight zones (rooms) of control. Read more...

In an almost simultaneous news release with sister company RTI, Pro Control has announced a slew of new products that they’ll be showing at the upcoming CEDIA Expo 2014 in Denver, Colorado, this coming September.
Again, much like with RTI, these products have been seen before – namely in our Pro Control CEDIA Video. However, as far as I know this is the first time that some of them have been formally announced with product photography! Read more...
