Acoustic Research Xsight Touch ARRX18G Features:
Hybrid design: The Xsight Touch features a bright, 2.2” touch-sensitive LCD display with 176x220 resolution and 65,000 color support, as well as 45 total hard buttons (not including the page slider bar).
Backlit hard buttons: All 45 hard buttons on the Xsight Touch are reverse backlit by blue LEDs. 41 of these buttons may contain user-customizable functions.
Menu pad: The R50 incorporates a 5-way menu cursor ring with a separate center [OK] button for quick and reliable cursor control.
LCD soft buttons: The LCD screen displays between 3 and 6 soft buttons at a time. There are also touch-sensitive page forward/back controls below the screen.
Basic onboard setup: The Xsight can have basic device setup performed right on the remote, without the use of a computer, using a simplified version of the preprogrammed code database. Also available directly on the remote is a general volume punchthrough and infrared learning.
Advanced online programming: Primary configuration of the Xsight is done using the mini USB port and the online RC-EZ website, which features wizard-style setup for activities, user profiles, macros and more. All devices, activities and buttons have configurable labels. All settings and customizations are stored on remote servers, and your configuration can also be uploaded from the remote.
Devices and activities: The Xsight Touch can operate up to 18 devices, along with separate “activities” with completely customizable punchthroughs. Activities have semi-automatic or manual macros assigned to them. Devices and activities are available from separate sections of the remote.
Online preprogrammed database: The Xsight makes use of UEI’s extensive device code database and allows access to their entire catalogue of codes and advanced functions. Codes can multiple devices can be placed under a particular device.
Code learning: If an appropriate database match cannot be found for a particular piece of electronics, all codes can be manually learned via the learning eye located on the bottom of the remote. In addition, missing commands can be filled in using your original equipment remote.
User profiles/favorite channels: Up to 72 favorite channels with customized graphical icons can be created, and then categories into different groupings (called “user profiles”) such as “HDTV”, “Mom”, “The Kids”, “Sports” and so forth. Each grouping can have custom punchthrough settings.
Built-in assist: The on-screen [Assist] button will help users in correcting any power or audio/video synchronization issues.
Rechargeable battery & docking station: The remote’s user-replaceable lithium ion battery is kept recharged when the remote is docked in the bundled charging station.
Pickup sensor: The Xsight Touch will automatically activate the LCD screen and hard button backlighting whenever the remote is picked up or tilted.
USB interface: The Xsight includes an industry standard Mini USB port with protective cover, for communications with a PC.
RF operation: 433Mhz RF technology is utilized by the remote for communications with the optional RF basestation. The RF basestation offers an integrated wide-area blaster, as well as six wired outputs. Single head emitter cables are provided.
Clock: The Xsight has an on-screen clock.
